Help us remove a common invasive plant and support the protection of biodiversity in the watershed.
Date: June 23, 2023
Time: 9 AM to 12 PM
Location: Garden Entrance
As part of the Mission Canyon Biodiversity Project to restore and preserve the watershed, the garden invites residents of Mission Canyon to aid us in removing a common invader, Periwinkle (Vinca major). This ornamental vine is an invasive plant of our canyon that spreads by self-propagating readily, creating thick patches in critical creek-side habitat. So, come join us to put out the periwinkle!
